Alex Aloise - An Inconvenient Truth

It was actually the blogger below me who inspired me to do this post. I watched the film An Inconvenient Truth for the first time last week. The film is a documentary which features Al Gore giving a very in-depth speech about the threat of global warming. It's a very frightening film and really opened my eyes to all the damage we as humans have done to our home. I agree with the previous poster, it is very reminiscent of Mysterium Tremendum. The only difference here is that the problems caused by global warming and the effects they will have are no longer a mystery. We already know exactly what will happen if the current trend continues. The Mysterium is no longer an issue. We now have to deal with, and hopefully prevent, the Tremendum. The terrible effects of global warming have already begun to surface. Hurricane Katrina was an example. The current Noreaster is another. If the trend continues, these storms will only get stronger and stronger and will only cause more and more damage. It is up to us as humans, as God's children, to protect our home, the home given to us by God. If we don't we will see the Tremendum firsthand.
