History of yoga
I am learning yoga. I would like to know the history of yoga. Is yoga just like an exercise? They believe there is nothing wrong with implementing this form of exercise into their daily regiment to promote a healthier body.
Yoga is an ancient path to spiritual growth, and originates out of India
where Hinduism is practiced. The practice and goal of yoga dates back to the Upanishads,
written between 1000 – 5000 BC.
The history of yoga is based in the Indus Valley civilization. The yogis
encourage union with the finite Jiva (transitory self) and with the infinite Brahman
(eternal self). Brahman is a term used by the Hindus to mean “God”.
Yoga is the spiritual lessons to be grasped by the soul within the person within the body where there is a circle. The experience that is called the “Kundilini” has an effect within meditation. They have many types of yoga. The ancient people record and keep what we are following now.
I think about all the good things of yoga and the hard time to keep up with
our ancient people, and all the teachers of yoga. I respect and appreciate them.
